The main purpose of having a seminar or a lecture is transfer of knowledge. Be it a social gathering , a birthday party or a full fledge workshop or a seminar the very fact that someone’s namehas been announced and that person is standing in front of everyone and probably at that point more than a hundred pair of eyes are focused on that person simply indicates that we want to learn something from the guy. It is because you have the knowledge that people will be willing to listen to you. However if you are a person who is enthusiastic about growing trees and you wind up lecturing a bunch of top executive bankers than you are definetly in the wrong place . provided of course you can relate how growing plants can be learnt as a lesson as to how to grow money than that’s a different thing, you then have the attention of both the plants enthusiasts and also the banker.

But coming back again to the main point you need to have something or achieved something that you can share with the people listening to you. That’s why I believe that those who simply copy paste knowledge will not make it in the long run. You should speak on something that connects to you in some way or the other , it could be your proffesion , it sould be your hobby , it could might as well be the spirtual side of you. But it has to be YOU. What have you learnt , what have you achieved , what have you got to share. That’s what people are intrested in YOU and YOUR KNOWLEDGE
